BJP President meets Health Minister JP Nadda, raises issues of health sector & UT administration

Chandigarh, October 22
Chandigarh BJP President Jitender Pal Malhotra today met with BJP National President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda in Delhi and raised issues of health sector as well as UT administration.

During this important meeting, Malhotra had an in-depth discussion on the work being done by the Chandigarh Administration and the ongoing reforms in the health system of the city. He particularly emphasized on the development of government hospitals and medical facilities in Chandigarh.

Special attention was given to the development of major government hospitals in Chandigarh in the meeting. Malhotra held important discussions on the facilities and development of the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital in Sector 16, Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32 and the prestigious PGI (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research). He also focused on the need for necessary schemes and resources to further improve the health services of these institutions.

JP Nadda informed him about the efforts being made by the centre government to strengthen the health infrastructure of Chandigarh and assured that the government will provide full support for upgrading the health facilities in the city. 

He said the BJP government is committed to improving and developing the health sector and large scale work will be done in this direction in Chandigarh too.

The BJP chief said, "The minister was positive about the issues I raised. We will see more improvement in the city."
